The Queens Gambit is an excellent Netflix film. It is a fast-paced crime thriller that picks up after the end of the last film starring Jennifer Aniston and Jacob Lofland. In this one, we find that Det. Marks is off the job but not without a few questions that need to be answered. The Queens Gambit is certainly worth the time spent.
The Queens Gambit picks up after the events of the last film. We travel to Los Angeles and meet up with Rachel Berry (Aniston). She and her friend Deb (Diablo Cody) go out to eat but are interrupted by someone from the police station. Once they are there, they find out that they are wanted for questioning in regards to the death of a man named Michael Knight. Rachel is shocked to learn that her friend was one of the killers.
Michael Knight was a cop and had been dating Rachel for quite some time. He had stopped working for the cops and did not want to discuss the details of his past with anyone. Rachel and her friend quickly figure out that Michael and his family were being held at gunpoint. As they run for help, Michael gets shot while trying to save Rachel, and she saves him too.
The Queens Gambit isn’t as exciting as the first Harry hook, but it is still a good flick. The acting is what made this movie great. Many of the actors brought to the role of the bad guys were already well known, like Jackie Earle Haley, Dan Butler, Michael Gambon, Donnie Wahlberg, and others.
There are a lot of familiar faces in this movie, including Jennifer Aniston, Dan Butler, and Donnie Wahlberg. The movie is well-paced with action and comedy. The movie didn’t take itself too seriously, but it did provide a lot of humor. The storyline was very intense and full of mystery.
The movie didn’t have many memorable scenes. The fighting scenes were pretty intense. When Michael got shot, he needed to be resuscitated, and this was when the audience realized that Michael’s character wasn’t going to be killed off. This made the character even more interesting and made us want to find out what happened to him. The other fight scene showed a lot of fights between the good guys and the bad guys.
The Queens Gambit is a solid action film. The fighting scenes were brutal. The supporting cast did their job. The ending left you wanting more.
